The application process for the iamUniversity of the Heart is conducted online. After you complete your online application, you will receive an email confirming that it has been successfully received.
When your application has been reviewed, an admissions representative will contact you to schedule an online interview. After this initial interview, qualified candidates will receive a second interview with the Chancellor.
Each year’s class size is limited to approximately 20 students due to the high degree of interaction and personal attention; therefore the admissions process for each class is selective and applying early is recommended.
The program begins with the Embarkation, held in Tucson, Arizona. This 3-day program coincides with the end of the 12-day Residency. Embarkees are encouraged to stay for graduation, which is held on the day immediately following Embarkation, to hear the inspiring presentations of the final projects of each member of the graduating class. Embarkation is an opportunity to meet your classmates in person, whom you will study and meditate with for the next two years.
The first online course starts in September. You will interact perhaps daily, at least weekly, with your classmates and teachers through our custom learning management system online. Online courses also include weekly live video conferences, typically held on Saturdays.
We encourage each member of the new class to attend the first group of the academic year, led by Susanna and Puran Bair, over New Year's in Sedona, AZ. In January, the next online course begins, followed by two more in the spring and summer that end just before the 12-day Residency in Tucson.
